About Us
The Upper Ru Ru Banchu Hydroelectric Project (HEP), developed by Rurugad Power Company Pvt. Ltd., is a promising hydropower initiative in Nepal. With an installed capacity of 23.9 MW, the project is currently under construction in Kalikot district. As Nepal continues to harness its vast hydropower potential, this project aims to contribute to the country’s growing demand for renewable energy. By utilizing the water resources of the Ru Ru Banchu River, the project is expected to support local communities with enhanced electricity supply while also promoting sustainable development. Once completed, the Upper Ru Ru Banchu HEP will play a significant role in strengthening Nepal’s energy infrastructure and reducing dependency on fossil fuels.
